2023 School Captains and Student Representatives announced!

Mar 21, 2023

Our Warrin students have spent a lot of time putting together their candidate speeches and rehearsing these in front of family before presenting these to our school Principal, Leadership team and their peers in the Warrin classroom. These presentations were recorded and shown to the all staff, who voted for whom they thought were suitable candidates.

We are super proud to announce that Our Currajong School Captains for 2023 are:

Edward and Blake

Please also congratulate our Student Representative Council members:

Benji – Marram

Fletcher – Wadherrung

Aiden and Tom – Gawa

Anton and Oliver – Warrin

An SRC member is both our School Captains and a student representative from each class. They will meet with Julian on a fortnightly basis.

Our School Captains will help organise and present at school events, promote the schools values at all times and provide Leadership to the student body.

We believe that by fulfilling the expectations of the School Captain position, that the students are likely to gain a better sense of self and understanding, gain confidence in themselves and amongst peers and staff and have the ability to organise, manage and develop the processes and skills required for future learning and development.

The Student Representative Council were elected by their classroom peers to represent all students across the entire school. SRC’s purpose is to work democratically to represent the student body in school decision making and organise ways for students to participate in and enjoy school life.

We invited parents to join us in celebrating these students with a very special assembly.

Certificates and badges were given to our new 2023 School Captains and Student Representative Council members.

Congratulations to you all.
